SECTION 16-57-17

   § 16-57-17  Other statutes. – Nothing contained in this chapter shall restrict or limit the powers of theauthority arising under any laws of this state except where those powers areexpressly contrary to the provisions of this chapter. This chapter shall beconstrued to provide a complete additional and alternative method for doing thethings authorized by it and shall be regarded as supplemental and in additionto the powers conferred by other laws. The making of any guaranty under theprovisions of this chapter need not comply with the requirements of any otherstatute applicable to the making of guaranties. Except as provided in thischapter no proceedings or notice of approval shall be required for the makingof any guaranty.
