§ 16-63-15 - Local support.
SECTION 16-63-15
§ 16-63-15 Local support. – (a) The school committee of each district established pursuant to §16-7-16(5), in order to insure that adults receive their adequate share ofeducation programs and services, shall be encouraged to allocate local fundswithin its annual budgets to support appropriate activities within categories1, 2, 5, and 7, as defined in this chapter.
(b) These allocations for adult education shall notnecessarily constitute funds which would not be appropriated by or for thedistrict, and shall be fully included in the calculation and payment offoundation level school support, also known as state aid to education, inaccordance with chapter 7 of this title, but shall not be subject to theprovisions of §§ 45-13-7 through 45-13-10.
