§ 16-63-3 - Definitions. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 16-63-3

   § 16-63-3  Definitions. – For the purposes of this chapter the following terms have the followingmeanings:

   (1) "Adult education" means all the concerns and activitieswithin the definition in § 16-58-2;

   (2) "Board" means the board of regents for elementary andsecondary education created pursuant to § 16-60-1;

   (3) "Bureau" means the bureau of adult and vocationaleducation within the department;

   (4) "Commission" means the Rhode Island adult educationcommission established pursuant to § 16-58-1;

   (5) "Commissioner" means the commissioner of the departmentof elementary and secondary education;

   (6) "Coordinator" means the state coordinator of adulteducation;

   (7) "Department" means the department of elementary andsecondary education;

   (8) "Office" means the office of adult education within thebureau.
