SECTION 16-80-6

   § 16-80-6  Outreach and professionaldevelopment. – Through the interagency partnerships, the state school-to-work system shallprovide a plan for ongoing outreach activities to inform and organize theschool-to-work partnerships on regional and local levels. In establishing aschool-to-work system, the state shall:

   (1) Redefine what constitutes professional development anddevelop and implement a plan for professional development and trainingopportunities for all stakeholders to include pre-service and in-serviceopportunities for educators and training opportunities for the businesscommunity and parents;

   (2) Provide professional development in applied techniquesand integration of curriculum;

   (3) Provide career guidance for teachers and guidancecounselors; and

   (4) Provide training for worksite mentors.
