SECTION 17-10-8

   § 17-10-8  Notice of striking of names.– In each city and town the local board shall, within one hundred and twenty(120) hours after striking the name of any person from any registration orvoting list, cause to be mailed to the person, postage prepaid, at thatperson's last address in the registration records, a notice of the striking ofhis or her name, and the reason for the striking; except that the noticeprovided for in this section shall not be required where the voter hasrequested the action, or has died.
