§ 17-15-11 - Dispensation with primary when no contest.

SECTION 17-15-11

   § 17-15-11  Dispensation with primary whenno contest. – Whenever there is no contest within any voting district for the officers to benominated or elected by a particular political party for any election, noprimary election shall be held in that voting district and the secretary ofstate for state offices or the local boards for local offices shall declarethose persons elected in the case of party committee members or delegates ornominated as candidates of a particular party for the office, and their namesshall not be printed on the primary ballot but shall be printed on the ballotfor the election for which the nominations are made; provided, that the partycommittee members' names and the names of the delegates to the state conventionof the respective party shall not be put on the election ballot.
