   § 18-13-19  Applicable law. – (a) This chapter applies to a transfer or declaration creating a custodialtrust that refers to this chapter if, at the time of the transfer ordeclaration, the transferor, beneficiary, or custodial trustee is a resident ofor has its principal place of business in this state or custodial trustproperty is located in this state. The custodial trust remains subject to thischapter despite a later change in residence or principal place of business ofthe transferor, beneficiary, or custodial trustee, or removal of the custodialtrust property from this state.

   (b) A transfer made pursuant to an act of another statesubstantially similar to this chapter is governed by the law of that state andmay be enforced in this state.
