§ 19-28.1-8 - Delivery requirements.

§ 19-28.1-8 Delivery requirements. –(a) It is unlawful to sell any franchise in this state without first providinga copy of a disclosure document reflecting all material changes together with acopy of all proposed agreements relating to the sale of the franchise, unlessotherwise provided in subsection (b), to the prospective franchisee, at theearlier of:
(1) The prospective franchisee's first personal businessmeeting with the franchisor which is held for the purpose of discussing thesale or possible sale of a franchise; or
(2) Ten (10) business days prior to the execution of anagreement or payment of any consideration relating to the franchiserelationship.
(b) The delivery requirements in subsection (a) do not applyto the offer or sale of a franchise which is exempt under § 19-28.1-6(2),(3), (6), or (8).
