SECTION 2-12-14

   § 2-12-14  Closing of fishing and huntingseasons during drought. – Whenever during an open season for the hunting of any kind of game, or forfishing for any kind of fish, it appears to the governor that by reason ofextreme drought the presence of hunters and persons fishing is likely to causeforest fires, he or she may, by proclamation, suspend the open season and makeit a closed season for any time he or she may designate and may prohibit thedischarge of firearms or the building of open fires on or near forest landduring that time.
