SECTION 2-20-8

   § 2-20-8  Surveyors for Newport –Election – Bonds. – The council of the city of Newport shall annually, in the month of February,elect one or more surveyors and measurers of boards, planks, timber, joist andscantling, removable at the pleasure of the city council, who shall each givebond, with surety, in the sum of one thousand dollars ($1,000), to the citytreasurer, for the faithful discharge of the duties of that office.
