SECTION 20-5-9

   § 20-5-9  Expiration and renewal ofpermits. – (a) All permits issued under this chapter shall be for a three-year period orfor that portion thereof expiring on the last day of December of each thirdyear thereafter.

   (b) On termination of any permit, the department may renewthe permit by issuing a new permit in place of the permit, provided applicationfor renewal is made within ten (10) days before the termination in a mannersimilar to that required for application for a permit in § 20-5-3. Failureto apply for renewal shall operate to leave the location available for anapplication by any other person.
