SECTION 20-6-3

   § 20-6-3  Scallops – Open season.– Unless otherwise specified in regulations adopted by the director, inconsultations with the marine fisheries council, the open season for takingscallops from the free and common scallop fisheries in any of the waters of thestate shall be between sunrise of the first day of October and sunset on thelast day of December of every year. Any person taking scallops in violation ofthis section shall, upon conviction, be fined not less than fifty dollars($50.00) nor more than five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisoned exceedingthirty (30) days for each offense.
