   § 20-6-8  Opening areas for quahaugdredging. – Pursuant to good conservation practices, the marine fisheries council shall beauthorized to open areas of the public waters of the state for taking quahaugsunder license by a registered boat, by dredges, rakes, or other apparatusoperated by mechanical power or hauled by power boats, and shall be authorizedto close those areas at any time there is a danger of depletion of quahaugs orwhen flagrant violations of this chapter occur.
