SECTION 21-28.2-18

   § 21-28.2-18  Discharge of certifiednarcotic addicts. – Any other provisions of this article notwithstanding, a narcotic addictcertified to the care and custody of the department may be discharged from thatcare and custody in order to serve another certification, commitment, orsentence, provided the period of the other certification, commitment, orsentence is likely to extend beyond the termination of the certification fromwhich he or she would be discharged.
