   § 22-13-7  Disclosure of confidentialhealth care information. – A patient's confidential health care information shall be released ortransferred without the written consent of the patient or the patient'sauthorized representative to the auditor general or his or her designatedrepresentative for the purpose of conducting financial audits, managementaudits, program evaluations, and research, provided the personnel shall notidentify, directly or indirectly, any individual patient in any report of theaudit, evaluation, or research, or otherwise disclose patient identities in anymanner.
