SECTION 22-3-6

   § 22-3-6  Continuing effect of lists –Violations by secretary of state. – The list of members of the senate and of the house of representatives preparedand corrected as provided in this chapter shall continue to be the lists ofmembers of the senate and of the house respectively, until altered by vote ofthe respective houses, and any secretary of state who shall willfully fail toprepare and correct the lists according to the provisions of this chapter, orto do any other thing in relation to the lists provided in this chapter to bedone by him or her, or who shall fraudulently place upon any of the lists thename of any person not provided in this chapter to be placed on it, or whoshall fraudulently neglect to place upon any of the lists the name of anyperson entitled to be placed on it, shall be imprisoned not less than one normore than three (3) years.
