   § 23-1-25  Penalties. – Unless another penalty is provided by the laws of this state, any person whoviolates any law administered by the director or any rule or regulation adoptedpursuant to authority granted to the director shall, upon conviction, bepunished by a fine of not more than one hundred dollars ($100) or byimprisonment for not more than thirty (30) days, or both, and for violation ofa compliance order of the director by a fine of not more than three hundreddollars ($300) or by imprisonment for not more than ninety (90) days, or both,for each offense or violation, and each day's failure to comply with any suchlaw, rule, regulation, or order shall constitute a separate offense.
