SECTION 23-1-8
§ 23-1-8 Forensic Scientist – Crimedetection. – The director of health shall appoint in accordance with law a suitable andqualified forensic scientist to conduct examinations of evidence in connectionwith scientific crime detection, and for that purpose the director shallcooperate with the Rhode Island state police, the department of the attorneygeneral, and other law enforcement agencies in the matter of scientific crimedetection.
