§ 23-11-1 Diseases declared contagious Exposure of another to infection. Sexually transmitted diseases shall include, but not be limited to, syphilis,gonorrhea, chancroid, granuloma inguinale, and lymphogranuloma venereum andother diseases that the director of health may by regulation determine toconstitute a sexually transmitted disease. Sexually transmitted diseases aredeclared to be contagious, infectious, communicable, and dangerous to thepublic health. It shall be unlawful for anyone knowingly, while in theinfectious condition with these diseases, or any of them, to expose anotherperson to infection. Any person found guilty of violating the provisions ofthis section shall be fined not more than one hundred dollars ($100) orimprisoned for not more than three (3) months.
