SECTION 23-17.5-6

   § 23-17.5-6  Care by physician –Disclosure of patient's medical condition. – (a) Each patient admitted to a facility shall be and remain under the care of aphysician as specified in policies adopted by the governing body.

   (b) Each patient shall be informed by a physician of his orher medical condition unless medically contraindicated, as documented by aphysician in his or her medical record, and shall be afforded the opportunityto participate in the planning of his or her medical treatment.
