SECTION 23-17-18

   § 23-17-18  Obtaining treatment or servicesunder false pretenses. – Any person who shall obtain medical or surgical or obstetrical treatment, underfalse representations of his or her financial condition, from any health carefacility, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction shall be finednot more than five hundred dollars ($500) or imprisoned not more than six (6)months, or both, in the discretion of the court, for each offense.
