SECTION 23-17-27

   § 23-17-27  Disclosure of nonparticipationin hospital service plan. – (a) Any health care facility licensed under this chapter which is not aparticipant in a hospital service plan shall post a notice, in a conspicuousplace where it can be read by its patients which shall read, in substance, asfollows:

   To our patients:

   This facility does not participate in a hospital serviceplan. You should know that you will be responsible for the payment of thehospital fees which you incur here.

   (b) Any licensed health care facility which fails to post adisclosure notice shall not be entitled to charge any of its patients anyamount, for hospital fees, in excess of that allowed had the facilityparticipated in a hospital service plan.
