§ 23-18.2-2 - Burial places to be preserved.

SECTION 23-18.2-2

   § 23-18.2-2  Burial places to be preserved.– No municipality shall alienate or appropriate any burial place to any use otherthan that of a burial ground. No portion of any burial place shall be taken forpublic use without the approval of the general assembly. If any burial place isappropriated for any other use and the bodies buried in it or the monuments,gravestones, or other memorials marking the burial place are removed, theburial ground authority shall preserve a record of the removal indicating thedate of the removal and the site or place to which the removal was made.
