SECTION 23-19.1-11.1

   § 23-19.1-11.1  Ground water resources.– No hazardous waste, including septic waste, shall be disposed of in an areaoverlying an actual, planned, or potential underground drinking water source asdescribed on the ground water maps of the U.S. geological survey and the RhodeIsland water resources board, providing the underground drinking water sourcehas been designated, on the basis of hydrogeologic data, as a future orpotential municipal water source by the city or town in which the undergroundwater source is located and, furthermore, providing there is a local ordinancerelating to groundwater aquifer zones.
