SECTION 23-19.2-10

   § 23-19.2-10  Penalties for breach ofregulations. – The city and town councils shall affix penalties for the breach of the rulesand regulations made by them, not exceeding three hundred dollars ($300) fine,or six (6) months imprisonment, for any one offense, unless provided by law,the fine to inure one-half ( 1/2) of this amount to the use of the complainant,and one-half ( 1/2) of this amount to the use of the city or town.
