SECTION 23-21-8

   § 23-21-8  Penalties for violations. –Any person who shall be guilty of violating any of the provisions of thischapter or the regulations adopted in accordance with this chapter may for thefirst offense be punished by a fine not exceeding one hundred dollars ($100) orbe imprisoned for a term not exceeding three (3) months; for the second offensemay be punished by a fine not exceeding two hundred dollars ($200) or beimprisoned for a term not exceeding six (6) months; and for a third orsubsequent offense may be punished by a fine not exceeding five hundred dollars($500) or be imprisoned for a term not exceeding one year or by both this fineand imprisonment, or have its license suspended or revoked.
