§ 23-23.1-11 Promulgation of standbyorders. The director shall promulgate a set of proposed standby orders which might beappropriate for use by the governor upon declaration of the episodecontemplated by this chapter. The standby control proposals, when approved bythe governor, shall be distributed to the appropriate agencies and to allcommercial and industrial concerns throughout this state concerned withenforcement or impact of this chapter and notice of their contents shall begiven to the public. The director shall promulgate arrangements for theenforcement of the standby orders and, upon approval by the governor, notice ofthe arrangements shall also be distributed to the authorities, commercial andindustrial concerns, and to the general public. The proposed standby orders andarrangements shall not, however, become operative except when directed by thegovernor in any order issued by him or her pursuant to a declaration of episodeunder this chapter.
