SECTION 23-24.10-6

   § 23-24.10-6  Manufacturer individualfinancial responsibility. – (a) On the effective date of this section, for covered electronic productsother than televisions, manufacturers have individual financial responsibilityfor the collection, transportation and recycling of their covered electronicproducts and orphan waste which have been discarded by households or public andprivate elementary and secondary schools in Rhode Island, including theirreturn share of orphan waste.

   (b) On the effective date of this section, for televisions,each television manufacturer has financial responsibility for the collection,transportation and recycling of televisions, which have been discarded byhouseholds or public and private elementary and secondary schools in RhodeIsland, based on the television manufacturer's market share.
