   § 23-24.3-6  Civil penalties. – Any person who violates the provisions of this chapter, or of any rule,regulation, or order issued pursuant to this chapter shall be subject to acivil penalty to be assessed by the court or the director not exceeding onethousand dollars ($1000). In the case of a continuing violation, each day'scontinuance shall constitute a separate and distinct offense.
