   § 23-24.9-19  Mercury advisory workinggroup. – The department of environmental management shall be authorized to coordinatethe development of a mercury reduction and education advisory working group toadvise the department with regard to the development of regulations andprograms for the implementation of the provisions of this chapter and withregard to public education pertaining to the continued elimination ofmercury-added products in the State of Rhode Island. This advisory workinggroup may include, but not be limited to, designees from the following: thegeneral assembly, department of environmental management, department of health,the attorney general's office, state and/or national organizations interestedin mercury reduction and education, consumer and children's advocacy groups,local chambers of commerce, and those industries that manufacture consumerproducts which contain mercury.
