SECTION 23-27.3-128.2.1

   § 23-27.3-128.2.1  Drawings andspecifications. – All drawings, specifications, and computations for new construction,alteration, repair, or expansion work involving the practice of professionalengineering or architecture as defined by Rhode Island state law, shall beprepared by professional engineers or registered architects as licensed orregistered by the state. All the drawings, computations, and specificationsrequired for a building permit application for the work, must be prepared by orunder the direct supervision of a professional engineer or registered architectand bear his or her signature and seal in accordance with the Rhode Islandstatutes and regulations governing the professional licensing or registrationof engineers or architects, and shall signify to the best of his or herknowledge that the drawings, computations, and specifications shall meet theapplicable provisions of this code and acceptable engineering practices and allapplicable laws and ordinances.
