   § 23-28.22-2  Definitions. – (a) "Enforcing officer" means the enforcing officer shall be the chief of thefire department or his or her designee of the several cities, towns, and firedistricts wherein any violations of the provisions of this chapter may takeplace.

   (b) "Self service stations" means that portion of propertywhere flammable and combustible liquids used as motor fuels are stored, andsubsequently dispensed from fixed equipment into the fuel tanks of motorvehicles by persons other than service station attendants, and the operation ofthe stations shall be subject to the following provisions contained in thischapter.

   (c) "The authority having jurisdiction" means the authorityhaving jurisdiction for the purposes of this chapter shall mean the enforcingofficer as defined in subsection (a).
