§ 23-3-20 - Court reports of divorce.

SECTION 23-3-20

   § 23-3-20  Court reports of divorce. –(a) For each divorce granted by any court in this state, a report shall beprepared and filed by the clerk of the court with the state registrar of vitalrecords. The report shall be furnished, with the final decree, to the clerk ofthe court by the prevailing party or his or her legal representative on formsprescribed and furnished by the state registrar of vital records.

   (b) On or before the tenth (10th) day of each third (3rd)month commencing on April 10, 1962, the clerk of the court shall forward to thestate registrar of vital records the report of each divorce granted during thepreceding three (3) calendar months and related reports that may be required byregulations issued under this chapter.

   (c) The clerk of the court shall be paid by the generaltreasurer the sum of fifty cents ($0.50) for each certificate of divorce soregistered and transmitted to the state registrar of vital records inaccordance with rules and regulations issued under this chapter.
