SECTION 23-33-2.1

   § 23-33-2.1  Chief inspector. – The director shall appoint a chief inspector who shall be a citizen of thisstate to coordinate, implement, administer, and enforce the provisions of thechapter. This existing position shall be responsible to and report to theadministrator of the division of occupational safety. The appointee will be inthe classified service of the state at a pay grade of not less than 330 andmust hold and maintain a national certification as a qualified elevatorinspector (QEI-1) as determined by the American society of mechanical engineers.
