SECTION 23-33-5

   § 23-33-5  Permit to act as authorizedinspector. – The chief inspector may issue a permit to act as an authorized inspector to anyperson employed by: (1) an insurance company authorized to insure elevators inthis state; or (2) any person, firm, or corporation engaged in the business ofinspecting elevators in this state who holds a certificate of competency,having passed a written examination approved by the chief, or in lieu of suchan examination, who holds a certificate of competency as an inspector ofelevators from a state that has a standard of examination equal to that of thisstate. A permit to act as an authorized inspector shall empower the authorizedinspector to make inspections.
