   § 23-6.1-5  Appropriations. – The general assembly shall appropriate the sum of fifteen thousand dollars($15,000), to be administered by the department of elementary and secondaryeducation, to carry out the purpose of this chapter, and the state controlleris authorized and directed to draw his or her orders upon the general treasurerfor the payment of that sum or so much of that sum as may be required from timeto time, upon receipt by him or her of proper vouchers duly authenticated.
