SECTION 23-60.1-3

   § 23-60.1-3  Reduction of mercury contentin alkaline batteries. – No alkaline-manganese battery manufactured on or after January 1, 1992, shallbe distributed, offered for sale, or sold, if it contains more than 0.025percent (.025%) mercury by weight; provided, however, that for anyalkaline-manganese battery resembling a button or coin in size and shape, thelimitation shall be twenty-five (25) milligrams of mercury.
