§ 23-7.1-3 - Definitions. - Rhode Island Statutes

SECTION 23-7.1-3

   § 23-7.1-3  Definitions. – As used in this chapter, the following terms shall, unless the contextotherwise requires, be construed as follows:

   (1) "Director" means the director of the department ofhealth, or any subordinate or subordinates to whom he or she has delegated thepowers and duties vested in him or her by this chapter.

   (2) "Federal government" means the government of the UnitedStates of America.

   (3) "Local communities" means any cities and towns of RhodeIsland.

   (4) "Person" means any individual, firm, private corporation,association, partnership, municipal corporation, or any other entity recognizedby the law as a subject of rights and duties.

   (5) "Rodent" means rats, mice, and/or bats.

   (6) "State" means the government of the state of Rhode Island.
