SECTION 23-7-6.2

   § 23-7-6.2  Board training. – Newly appointed and qualified members of the board and new designees of exofficio members are required to complete a training course within six (6)months of their qualification or designation. The course shall be developed bythe chair of the board, approved by the board and conducted by the chair of theboard. The board may approve the use of any board or staff members or otherindividuals to assist with training. The course shall include instruction inthe following areas: the provisions of chapters 23-7, 42-46, 36-14 and 38-2;and the board's rules and regulations. The director of the department ofadministration shall, within ninety (90) days of April 20, 2006, prepare anddisseminate training materials relating to the provisions of chapters 42-46,36-14 and 38-2.
