SECTION 23-74-2

   § 23-74-2  Maltreatment of minorsprohibited. – Nothing in this chapter shall restrict the ability of a local law enforcementagency or the director of the department of children, youth and families totake action regarding the maltreatment of minors. A parent who obtainsunlicensed health care for the parent's minor child is not relieved of the dutyto seek necessary medical care consistent with the requirements of the generallaws. A complementary or alternative health care practitioner who is providingservices to a child shall be subject to the reporting provisions of chapter 11of title 40, entitled "Abused and Neglected Children."
