§ 23-9-22 Settlement of wages and charges.– The city and town councils of the respective cities and towns shall fix,settle, and adjust all wages and charges demanded by persons employed by themto secure a vessel, or to air and cleanse those goods, or to attend upon andnurse those persons as provided in this chapter.
