SECTION 24-12-24

   § 24-12-24  Pension fund for ferry companyemployees. – The town of Jamestown, by vote of the qualified electors of the town at anyspecial or annual financial town meeting, is hereby authorized and empowered touse all or any part of any balance of the two hundred fifty thousand dollars($250,000) paid to the town together with the proceeds realized from the saleor lease of any of the other assets of the Jamestown and Newport ferry companyfor the establishment of a pension fund for the care of retired employees ofthe Jamestown and Newport ferry company.
