   § 25-2-46  Gold Star Parents Day. –The sixteenth (16th) day of February in each and every year shall be set asideas a day to be known as "Rhode Island Gold Star Parents Day." This nation andstate owe an enormous debt to those grieving parents who have lost children inwar. The day is to be observed by the people of this state with appropriateexercises in public places, and shall cause a display of the state and Americanflags to be flown at half-staff over the Rhode Island State House tocommemorate this day of remembrance to honor their memory.
