SECTION 27-10.1-10

   § 27-10.1-10  Inspection at policyinception required. – No motor vehicle liability policy or endorsement insuring a private passengermotor vehicle weighing less than ten thousand (10,000) pounds for physicaldamage coverage, shall be issued in the state of Rhode Island unless theinsurer has inspected and photographed the motor vehicle in accordance withrules and regulations set forth by the insurance division of the department ofbusiness regulation. This section does not apply to motor vehicles rated orinsured under a commercial motor vehicle insurance policy. An insurer may electto waive inspections and photographs for all motor vehicles upon written noticeto the department of business regulation.
