§ 27-17-15 Reports and examination ofaffairs of exchanges. The attorney shall, within the time limited for filing the annual statement byinsurance companies transacting the same kind of business, make a report underoath to the commissioner for each calendar year in any form the commissionermay prescribe, showing the financial condition of the affairs at the officewhere the contracts are issued, and shall at any reasonable time furnish anyadditional information and reports required by the commissioner. The records,affairs, and financial condition of the exchange shall be subject toexamination by the commissioner, and the examination shall be at the expense ofthe office examined. The commissioner may, in lieu of the examination providedfor in this section, accept a certified copy of the report of examination madeby the insurance department of the state where the principal office is located.
