SECTION 27-18-27

   § 27-18-27  Adoptive children. – Subscribers to any accident and sickness insurance plan who have satisfied thecontinuous membership requirement of the plan and who adopt children under theguardianship and custody of the director of the department of children, youth,and families shall be afforded coverage under the plan for an adopted childwithout any waiting period, notwithstanding the fact that the adopted child mayhave any preexisting medical condition.
