§ 27-2.4-7 - Application for examination.
SECTION 27-2.4-7
§ 27-2.4-7 Application for examination.– (a) A resident individual applying for an insurance producer license shall passa written examination unless exempt pursuant to § 27-2.4-11. Theexamination shall test the knowledge of the individual concerning the lines ofauthority for which application is made, the duties and responsibilities of aninsurance producer and the insurance laws and regulations of this state.Examinations required by this section shall be developed and conducted underrules and regulations prescribed by the insurance commissioner.
(b) The insurance commissioner may make arrangements,including contracting with an outside testing service, for administeringexaminations and collecting a nonrefundable fee.
(c) Each individual applying for an examination shall remit anonrefundable fee as prescribed by the department pursuant to rule andregulation.
(d) An individual who fails to appear for the examination asscheduled or fails to pass the examination, shall reapply for an examinationand remit all required fees and forms before being rescheduled for anotherexamination.
