§ 27-2-9 Statement as to capital, assets,and investments. Every life insurance company, health insurance company, livestock, or otherinsurance company, cooperative, or assessment, shall before making any contractof insurance, deposit with the insurance commissioner a statement signed andsworn to by the president and secretary of the company, specifying the amountof its capital and all of its assets and the manner of its investment,designating the amount invested in mortgages, public securities, and in stockof incorporated companies, stating what companies, and also the amount investedin other securities, particularizing each item of investment, the amountinsured by existing policies, the amount of liabilities, specifying the amountof outstanding claims, adjusted or unadjusted, due or not due, and the largestsum insured in any one risk; provided, that no more than one statement needs tobe filed on behalf of the company.
