SECTION 27-20-4

   § 27-20-4  Approval of articles ofassociation. – No articles of association of a nonprofit medical service corporation shall befiled in the office of the secretary of state unless and until the governorshall have certified in writing upon those articles that he or she hasdetermined that public convenience and advantage will be promoted by theestablishment of the corporation and that the filing of the articles has theapproval of the Rhode Island Medical Society as evidenced by an affidavit ofthe president and secretary of the society. No articles of association of anonprofit medical service corporation formed after January 1, 1964 shall befiled in the office of the secretary of state unless and until the governorshall have certified in writing upon the articles that he or she has determinedthat public convenience and advantage will be promoted by the establishment ofthe corporation.
