SECTION 27-34-2

   § 27-34-2  Purpose. – The purpose of this chapter is to provide a mechanism for the payment ofcovered claims under certain insurance policies to avoid excessive delay inpayment and to avoid financial loss to claimants or policyholders because ofthe insolvency of an insurer, and to create an entity to assess the cost of theprotection and distribute it equitably among member insurers.
